Santon road works wearing my patience thin!

I never thought when I started blogging I would write a post on road works but after putting up with over 4 weeks of traffic lights and disruption I am now getting a little fed up. The main exit and entrance road to my estate has been closed to accomodate the road works as part of the IRIS development. So now I have to use an alternative route via country lanes to get to work and back! I am all for improving the infrastructure on the island but I just start thinking if this job was being undertaken on the mainland UK they would probably have it done and dusted in half the time!  Traa dy Liooar I think the saying goes!
