Just want to say that I recently stayed at The Bull Pub in Birmingham. Situated in the old gun quarter at 1 Price Street, the Bull is what I would call a proper pub and has a proper landlady. The hospitality from Rose McCann and her staff was second to none and the fresh home cooked food including Oxtail Stew and Steak and Kidney Pudding was to die for, all washed down by a number of good quality well kept real ales. Sadly there just isnt enough of these pubs in the country and what a shame is all can say.

The Bull, 1 Price Street, Birmingham is well worth a visit, its the best pub in Birmingham if not Britain, if not the world!

Recently flew to Leeds Bradford airport from Ronaldsway in the Isle of Man on what happened to be Britains wettest day in history! I flew with the new manx2.com airline that has recently started up between the Isle of Man and several routes in the UK. The aircraft on first impression looked pretty small and inadequate, but after shuffling to the back of the Metroliner 19 seater plane I was rather taken a back by the comfort and the overall flight which took around 40 minutes. The pilot and the first officer delivered the safety anouncement in a very friendly and chirpy fashion and overall I really enjoyed the flight even when it did get a little bumpy!

Anyone using the Manx2.com service – dont be put off by the small plane its really not as bad as it looks!

Enjoy your flight.

All I seem to have been doing recently is moan about things happening on the Isle of Man and inparticulary the poor service that we have to put up with on the Isle of Man.

But hey all is not lost!

I recently had a problem with my wireless router security configuration and being a beginner at this sort of thing I tried to solve the problem, but only made it worse! By the end of it all I couldn’t access the web via my wireless router.

By using the network cable I managed to get back on line and at 10.30pm last Wednesday evening out of sheer desperation I sent an email to my internet provider wimanx on the off chance that they might get back to me sometime over the next few days.

And there it was!
Within 30 seconds a reply email pinged back into my inbox from Joe Hughes of wimanx – what great service. After several emails back and forth Joe and his fellow colleague Kristan managed to assist me with the problem and eventually I was back up and running with my wireless router.

Not only did Joe Kristan at wimanx assist me they were incredibly prompt and even suggested ways of improving my security settings for the future!

Look out Manx Telecom! You have had it so easy!

Big up to wimanx – great service, keep up the good work you make such a refreshing change!
